Amen to that. One of my favorite books is "In Defense of Elitism" by
William A. Henry III and one of my favorite quotes is " Putting a man on
the moon is not the same as putting a bone in your nose".
That is true, most native cultures had a lot good things going for them
but life goes on and the wheels of Progress turn.
So some of us happen to be lucky, talented, rich, born to the right
pedigree, been in the right place at the right time, tall, good looking
......
Such things do help us get ahead in life, the question is what to do when
we get there.
Well you can own slaves, colonize poor countries, take oil just because
you can....
Then what?
Ignore social equality because we can? Or just because we got luckier?
That leaves two choices.
1. Good Stewardship
2. Madame La Guillotine
take your pick.
