If I knew your intent, yes I am guilty. But the west knew what they were
selling. We even supplied him with satellite photos of the Iranian
battlefields. When the tide started to turn in his favor ( see we wanted
no victor, just enemies killing each others, Iranians and Iraqis) we
diverted arms to him through the Iran contra affair

     [Platt]
Are you hoping for an American defeat in Iraq?

    Nah, Aljazeera

Remember, we were a democracy when women in this country couldn't vote.
We were a democracy when schools were segregated
We were a democracy when you could own slaves in this country.

Just because you are a democracy it does not mean you don't practice
    apartheid, racism, slavery, segregation, torture
In other words democracy means nothing (static) if the way you treat
(dynamic) your citizens ( or occupied territories) like crap.

Platt, i got news for you.

This Empire is way past it's golden age. That was between 1954 and 1959.

This empire is an old sick man and the prognosis is not looking good.

Yes we have lost the war in Iraq, it's just a matter of mopping up.

Our world prestige scientifically, economically and politically is
eroding faster than a levy in Louisiana.

The saving grace for this country is it's size and diversity, that will
keep us afloat for a while.

History will prove that this was the worst administration in the history
of the US and that will be the historical marker of the beginning of the
    decline into the abyss.

Yet, I have not packed my bags yet. I am willing to stand and fight the
fight, to right the wrong. I took an oath to uphold the constitution of
    this country and I will.

At times i feel like the little dutch boy.
