    Ian, what I'm trying to do is bring out from Bo the exact fundamental reason
    he thinks SOM = MOQ intellect. There's nothing necessarily "wrong" in
    seeing the world like this but I highly doubt it is the MOQ that Robert
    Pirsig envisioned. SOLAQI seems to confuse matters not clarify them. On
    the other hand, Paul and DMB tend to fill in the missing gaps and clarify
    ambiguities. Again, each to their own but as someone who wants to improve
    his understanding of Pirsig's MOQ it is the latter type of writing that I
    find of most use and interest.

    OK, what do you think is wrong with the MOQ's Social / Intellectual
    distinction? If you can also explain what this has to do with "SOMist"
    intellect (SOLAQI?) that would also be useful. (Answers of no less than
    20,000 words will only be accepted, no postcards and no conferring please!)
