We finally agree on something. The Big Bang should be lumped with Evolution.
Both are established scientific Theories (note the capital T) in that they
have thus far resisted all attempts to refute them. But you seem to
misunderstand them equally. Entropy (another of those pesky Theories) is a
factor in the fate of the universe but says nothing about whether the
universe ends with a bang or whimper (heat death). That depends on the
amount of matter in the universe.

I have a feeling that you would take this 'meaning' notion the same place
you are heading with 'purpose'. These concepts may or may not reside in
humans but they make no sense at all when applied in any 'universal' or
'ulimate' context.

I could be mistaken but I took his meaning to be that private events are
nessarily private and can not be shared. We can talk about private events
but the sounds we emit are not thoughts. Sounds are public events. You say
'nihilist' like its a bad thing. How would you describe nihilism?
