If you use the freeing of biological chains argument to justify the
government taking over the health care system, why not use it to justify
government taking over the food system, the housing system, the clothing
system, in other words, the economic system? Some have actually proposed
such a takeover you know. In fact, it was tried in the 20th century and
found to be a horrible failure.
What's stunning to me is that some people are willing to point a gun at
their neighbors and say, "I'm taking what belongs to you because somebody
needs it more than you do." You've heard it before: "From each according to
his ability, to each according to his needs."
Is that really what you want?
[Case]
What I really want is what everyone wants: loose shoes, good sex and a warm
place to go to the bathroom.
But here you go again with the guns and the paddy wagons. What's up with
that? You have admitted on many occassions that there are legitimate reasons
for taxation. There are public purposes that government should serve. Where
is the money for that supposed to come from? From your point of view it
seems to be legitmate to point a gun at someone's head to pay for a cruise
missle but not a tetnus shot.

I see. There's no difference to you between bringing home a 6-pack of
Budwieser Light and being handcuffed and hauled off to jain in a paddy
wagon. Amazing.
[Case]
There is a huge difference. Advertising is a much more subtile form of
coersion and far more effective as a result. If you are truely concerned
with powerful forces meddleing in your affairs, you might ought to consider
that the guys compeling you with guns are too obvious to really be a treat.
It is the sneaky ones who get you to do their bidding and surrender joyfully
that are dangerous. Can you spell cheeseburger?
