I wonder what edition of Oxford's Marx has. Mine says:

You will note this does not explicitly state that
intellect is SOM. YOU interpret this as saying SOM =
emotion/reason.
Textual support please?
(Emotion is a biological pattern, and reason is an
intellectual pattern. So, you are telling us that SOM
= biological/intellect?)
You also state that reason is objectivity itself.
You're confusing yourself here Skutvik, what you mean
to say is reason may argue for a Universal reality
outside of Human considerations. But that reasoning
can be shown to have no logical certainty. Thus,
reason cannot be 'objectivity itself' can it? In fact,
it may be argued that reason is Human subjectivity.
ZMM suggests that all this talk about SOM is just an
idea which can be replaced by another better idea.
Your suggestion that SOM is the basis for Intellect is
a pile of crap.

I think the term, 'essay' is putting it a bit strong
isn't it Skutvik? ' A "Calling card" for the benefit
of those who may have forgotten me as i've been away
for a few months licking my wounds' would suit it
better i should think. Essay? You see? You just can't
stop lying to yourself can you?
Skutvik:
"What screws it up is the said "mind" notion which
makes anyone reading this interpret it as mind doing
the intellectualizing", while in MOQ's definition
intellect is doing the subject/object-ualizing."
Mark:
There is no support for this confused piece of
writing. It can't be called an argument because it's
simply a pile of statements with no coherent structure
Skutvik.

Thanks for reading my posts so thoroughly.
