    Mike:
No, but let me put it this way: I'd rather talk
    philosophy with a
religious person (if they of good character) than an
    arrogant atheist.

    Mark:
Honesty can sound like arrogance to the socialy
    dominated.

    Mike:
Surely an intellectual genius such as yourself has
    realised that
atheism requires just as much of a leap of faith as
    theism does?

    Mark:
No. I don't realise that. I'm not a genius either.

    Mike:
    Impressive, Mark. You've masterfully destroyed
    someone's
    credibility...but not Sam's

    Mark:
Sam does sincerely believe that when he talks
philosophy he is to be sure not to risk his soul. That
    is a fact Mike.
So, the next time you are talking philosohy with a God
loving person of good character, remember that won't
    you.

    Mike:
    So much for dogma.

    Mark:
Thanks for intellectualy considering the fact that a
God loving person of good character must be always
sure to save his soul and what ramifications that fact
would have on intellectual integrity Mike. Good to see
    you ain't dodging any questions.

    Mike:
Exactly - tyrant. Level 2 value, not level 4. Clearly,
I need some way of distinguishing autonomy from
    savagery.

    Mark:
Savages are autonomous at the Biological level. You
need a better term than autonomy.

    Mike:
Really? It'd be most helpful if you could demonstrate
this, becaues I was under the delusion that, this
whole time, I'd been using "autonomy" to refer to a
    particular aspect of subjectivity!

    Mark:
Maybe so, but autonomy is an ill chosen term. Carry on
    if you like.

    Mike:
I know nothing about the man. I just seized on that
quote because it seemed very useful for helping to
explain exactly what I was banging on about regarding
    subjectivity and autonomy.

    Mark:
Let's hope the man doesn't turn out to be an arrogant
    athiest or worse.

    Mike:
Thank goodness I don't share your set of
"intellectual" prejudices, or I wouldn't have seen the
    value of that quote.

    Mark:
I would not recommend honesty as an intellectual
prejudice because it tends to upset socialy dominated
    people.

    Mike:
Feel free to add me to your bin list. I have precious
little time to devote to MD, so I'd be more than happy
to to be freed of the burden of responding to your
    comments.

    Mark:
It wouldn't take you long to respond to the ideas.
Sadly, you don't. Here is an idea for you:
God loving people of good character must always behave
intellectualy in such a way as to never risk their
    soul.

    Mike:
Good, because it's done me no benefit whatsoever. I
was asking for an explanation of how subject/predicate
    relates to subject/object.

    Mark:
    We are suspended in language.
