Dan,
A beautiful account of the emergence of Lila's Child, that showcases not only
that you were the "keystone species" in the process, but that it involved a
social process in an ecology greater than any one person. Platt makes the
simplistic mistake of thinking that if its not "just Dan" than its "not Dan at
all". To use a choir metaphor, you sung the solo, but there were other voices,
tenors and altos and bass, around you, supporting you, sustaining your voice
and enriching the song. And, the result of this process, Lila's Child, has
become part of the historical dialogue, and will contribute to the collective
consciousness, enriching others, echoing the choir's voices even as new singers
add new voices to the song, and evolve Lila's Child in social dialogue.
Indeed, one could even say that Lila's Child was the first big static latch in
the social evolution of the MOQ, with Ant's PhD being the second. This process
alone shows how the MOQ will be, and is, a socially-derived and
socially-constructed intellectual pattern. Not the voice of one, but the voice
of many.
