Hi all following this one,
I agree with Rick that the MF has to distinguish itself from MD, and paramount for me in that
distinction would be active moderation. Dependent on quite how much work it involves, I would be
interested in helping out there.
My ideal would be something like the following:
- moderated to ensure relevance and to remove ad hominems etc
- a maximum of two posts per person per week
- the topic has to be introduced in a 500 word (max) proposal by a particular person
- the topic continues until it is voted off (vote after three weeks, then every two?) OR until there
is no post on the topic for a period of 7 days
- the discussion is summarised by the person who proposed it (static latching!!)
I'd definitely want rule 4 to be kept.
There are lots of quite specific things that I would want to concentrate on, and I would hope that
we could become a little more philosophically rigorous. I think MD does a wonderful job, but I think
MF is more what I need at the moment.

"Phaedrus is fascinated too by the description of the motive of 'duty toward self' which is an
almost exact translation of the Sanskrit word 'dharma', sometimes described as the 'one' of the
Hindus. Can the 'dharma' of the Hindus and the 'virtue' of the Ancient Greeks be identical?" - The
Eudaimonic MoQ says yes. "Lightning hits!"
