Skutvik (for it is he):
Don't you think that Cro-Magnon people thought about existence,
theorised about origin and destiny ...besides hunting and reproducing
themselves? And they were solidly within social reality.
sq: You continue to demarcate between an exceptionally sharp and rigid
divisive moment in history. The irony is you got this idea from misunderstanding Mr.
Pirsig's book, Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance. But Mr. Pirsig says
nothing of the sort.
When Paul discusses human culture before YOUR demarcation line, you simply
tell him he is talking about the social 'level.' And what is more, you talk
about thought at the social level as if its not Intellect. Are you totally stupid?
The old Greek mythos was counting and reckoning 14,000 years BC. Counting for
pity's sake Skutvik! And you insist this is not intellectual activity?
Of all the intelligent people i have ever read, you display beyond a shadow
of doubt the most imbecile tendency to ignore other people - by a very long
chalk.
