Have you looked at the table associated with my eudaimonic essay (available on the website). I am
sympathetic to what you have been trying to argue re patterns/people. My take is that you need to
distinguish between the levels of value and the patterns which instantiate those values, ie what I
call the 'choosing unit', that which can respond to Quality (Wim didn't like my word
'instantiate'!). So I would say Eudaimonia refers to the level of value and autonomous individual
refers to the type of person that can operate at level 4.
More later - fascinating reading this thread - and I have a long (possibly essay length)
contribution to make on the whole language/social/intellectual thing.
Some of the other threads at the moment seem deeply strange.
