I agree with your idea of pattern vs type of person completely.
I NEVER liked classifying each person liked that, so thanks for putting it
into words. I don't know what quote you are talking about I would love if
somebody found it.
I only know that I was extremely glad to hear Pirsig say he was disappointed
that people thought he was Phaedrus....that he was Phaedrus, Rigel, Lila..
That led Platt and Glenn to ask who is the REAL Pirsig.
Like biological, social values aren't REAL!
The MoQ is kind of goal oriented--to become the best person you can be.
I think this change is essentially changing the "goal" to some perfectionism
of the intellectual level to multiple goals, no?
