    The paradox is one I've pointed out several times in our previous
    exchanges. Your claim of being rooted exclusively in a particular history
    is presented as being true throughout history, thus denying that you are
    entirely rooted exclusively in a particular history. It's just another
    take on the paradox of your expressing eternal truths such as "we're all
    rooted in history" when your postmodern philosophy claims there's no such
    thing as eternal truths.

    I know you pay little attention to paradoxes because rationality is not a
    particularly important criteria in Rorty's worldview. For me, and I think
    for Pirsig, logical consistency is still right up there as a measure of
    intellectual quality.
