by words? And at the biological level the amoeba is as good at

    Hi Bo, Scott, and all,

joe: when you describe the amoeba discerning good and bad, I think you are
describing gravity as 'one' and seeking food as 'the other'. For the amoeba
the S/O divide? I want to ponder the relationship of the amoeba to the
inorganic order-evolution. I say that gravitation does not produce
evolution. The planet emanates a gravity field. Gravitation, radiation,
emanation, electromagnetic force, weak nuclear, and strong nuclear forces
are not the same. Does that make the planet 'one' and these forces 'the
other'? Within the inorganic order do I have 'one' and 'the other'?

Is the S/O divide the proper 'distinguishing mark'? The one and the many?
The one is indefinable. Isn't it a better explanation to use DQ and SQ as
the 'distinguishing mark'? IMO in an S/O divide there is a tendency to make
DQ an emanation and cloud its relationship to SQ knolwedge.

IMO the planet emanates an organic order. I describe that emanation as
'purpose'. I distinguish the 'purpose' organic from the gravity (chance) of
the inorganic. 'Purpose' becomes DQ. The amoeba can distinguish 'purpose'
from gravity, it has another value for actions. "The stomach does not
    digest itself".
