    Yes, Plat and I agree with you.

    This hog wash about "hurting our children's psyche" and "whacking" being
    abuse and the opposite of love, is part of a campaign that says loving
    caring parents must be hesitantly soft and should not share their personal
    reality with their children. It infers that parents cannot be adequate and
    it encourages abdication to the "experts" who of course, have zero vested
    interest and long term commitment to the child's development and well being.
    Once the parents buy into this, then the children are left vulnerable to the
    "experts' " value systems, potential brainwashing, and in many cases
    "therapeutic" drugs.

    I think that there is an antifamily movement that wants to promote
    recreation-only sex, test tube babies, and intuitionally developed children.
    Kind of like good pet care.
