Hi Wim,
Hmm, in sexual species, the entity that reproduces itself is the union of
the two sexes, neither parent is reproduced. If the thing that reproduces
itself is alive, then as individuals, unable to asexually reproduce, we
aren't alive? Or only potentially alive? How about if we come to be
manufactured like thermostats? Would we be alive? Infertile people?
Maybe anything that we believe is alive is alive?
