    Jordi,

I hope you find the note below on "introconvertable" from Robert Pirsig some further assistance in its translation into "Catalan".

    Best wishes,

    Anthony McWatt

    ----------------------------------------------------------

"The question Jordi Soldevila asks about my use of the word
³introconvertable² is one that only I can answer so I guess I should do so for the record. I first heard it from Prof. George P. Conger whom I have referred to before as the person who sent me to Benares Hindu university.
Conger said he had gone to visit Gandhi, where he was told that the Mahatma was pretty busy. Being a Congregational minister Conger sent in one question (with some tongue in cheek,) ³Is there any hope for Christianity?²
After a while the answer came back, presumably from Gandhi, that,³Monism and monotheism are introconvertable.² Now it may be that Gandhi invented the word ³introconvertable² or it may be that Conger invented it, but is most
likely that I invented it myself because Conger mispronounced it or I misheard it. Until today, when I looked it up, I thought it really was a word. ³Interconvertable² means the same thing."
