        Hi Mark
Wonderful! I love to sing bass in the choruses of Handel's "Messiah"

      Hi Joe,
Hey! I love Handel. Steve Hackett, the ex-lead guitarist from Genesis - one of, if not THE most favourite rock guitar player of mine, is a big Handel and Vivaldi fan. He brought these influences into early Genesis material and still composes 'Classical' guitar works displaying much of these influences.
Because of Steve, i began listening to Handel but do not have a copy of Messiah. I do have Anthems 7, 8 and 9 however, and love them dearly.
Of course, i feel Handel channelled his experience of SQ-SQ tension into his music? The church was an ideal place for a composer to generate static responses to Quality, and the wonderful music we can still enjoy today is a static manifestation of pure Quality. When we listen to Handel, the patterns which compose us at this time merge into coherence with those patterns Handel left behind. Talk about immortality!

      All the best, and thanks,
      Mark
