Dear Mr. Tom,
Mr. Tom said : I'm not sure of the actual statistics, but most of our
communication is in words. Think of an internet without words, this forum
would be pretty stuck. There's also the difference between a frozen and
normal register; basically written words stay written, and you can go back
and re-read them.
-=*POOT*=- I don't mean to say that we should only use non-lingual
communication (at the time when it would even be possible). There are many
reasons, such as books, internet forums, or reading a letter from someone
who is far away. When I mean about eliminating(again, if possible) or
reducing the use of language, It would have to be on a _personal_ basis.
In person, basically.
However, the more I think about this theory, and my original thought in the
tank, they differ sort of. There are just too many inconsistencies with
non-lingual communication. Perhaps if we one day are telepathic or
something like that. However, the idea still remains with me, so I went to
my original post and examined reasons why I came up with what I have now,
and see how I sort of lead myself.
Do you think that non-lingual _thought_ is attainable for common usage? I
think images would most likely be more important, and instead of nouns,
perhaps see images? I don t know.... it just seems as if, in inner thoughts
to myself, words slow me down. It's not that I'm not literate, but....
What do you think? non-lingual thoughts???
Matt-
