Hi Platt,
You misunderstand. Although music analysis exists, i stressed that i was
concentrating on values. If you think about this you will see that the music
analyst uses terms like, 'Exquisite balance.' In value terms, that is a sweet spot
or exceptional coherence. Thus, the music analyst and the immediate aesthetic
appreciation both aim to convey balance, harmony and pre-intellectual Quality
for their respective starting points/aims.
This is exactly the same as the Tennis racquet sweet spot which is 'felt' as
a Quality experience by the player, and expressed as a mathematical harmony in
the modelling of the racquet. They are both beautiful aspects of one
evolutionary progression.
