Mark,
Yes, music has always been one of my great loves in life. No matter where
you go you can always create that with anything that taps.
Also, being a progressive rock fanatic I find that you get both
"professional musicians" (not "entertainers", ie: Britany & co) that create stories to
music and visa versa. "Rock Operas" as they are sometimes called.
Queensryche's "Operation: Mindcrime" is an excellent album (IMO) because there is a story
that goes beyond politics. You can listen to this album over and over.
Depending on what mindframe you're in you can follow the storyline or equate this
story with your own life, or even create it to your fantasies. Total DQ, even
though the music and words have been set in stone.
What I have to ask from your last post is that, when Mozart is determined
static, but then becomes a "different kind of" static because of a meshing of
Mozart and coherent relationships - it is STILL static. Is this a layman's
way of looking at it or should I be seeing something else?
Also, do you (or anyone) feel that there are song(s) in existence that
will never lose their dynamic quality? For example, Led Zeppelin's "Kasmir" has
never lost anything for me and I have listened to that song for years and know
when I am ready to die I will still listen to that song. Again, this maybe my
own dynamic thinking but isn't there others that feel this way? Is that
possible?
Dan
