Dear participants in the 'quality religion' thread,
Please keep discussion of religious content, of the necessity of religion
etc. out of that thread.
I started the 'quality religion' thread (10 Mar 2004 23:32:28 +0100) to
discuss religious practice in a very specific way: an 'Idols'-like
competition between religions as a practical test of the validity of the MoQ
(Do we really experience Quality or not?) that answers the question Matt P.
asked Platt 19 Feb 2004 00:46:40 -0500:
'in your "opinion" which is the best religion?? Which represents the epitome
of human civilisation?'
That implies presenting religious practice, asking clarifications,
criticising factuality of descriptions of practice (sparingly, so as not to
polarize the discussion) and ... voting. Quality of religious content (like
the quality of the songs themselves in 'Idols') is better left out of the
discussion as much as possible.
Consistency of practice with content IS relevant of course there.
Please move discussions of religious content and the necessity of religion
to this thread: questions whether god exists or not, whether DQ = God,
whether faith is needed, what 'faith' means etc.
With friendly greetings,
Wim
