This is one reason why I laugh at the notion of Free Speech, because, in the
public limelight, it truly does not exist. If someone says something deemed
innapropriate, for whatever reason (I'm not talking about the extremes,
I.E.the isms), because it is what they feel, they should not be lambasted
for saying it. If what they say is really that bad or stupid, then you
would just view them as stupid for saying what they did, and lower your
opinion of them.
Hi Wim and Matt:
joe: hi, Matt, I'm Joe. Excuse me, for butting into your conversation with
Wim. You have said something about free speech that is interesting to me.
I've always felt that free speech was unlimited.
IMO your statement highlights the war between the levels. The MOQ is a new
formulation. The MOQ creates a vocabulary for itself. 'Class conflict' may
be broadened to help extablish that vocabulary. The war between quality
levels is a jungle of morality that is difficult to appreciate, although the
levels are very clear.
I accept as moral if someone yells 'Fire!', as a joke , in a crowded theater
that he can be prosecuted for the people who are injured in the stampede to
leave the theater. An immoral conflict between the organic and social level
has been inflamed by the word 'fire'. 'Lambasting' may be appropriate for
lesser conflicts, if it seems the person speaking is insensitive to the
moral order.
IMO the moral order: intellectual patterns, being incomplete, s/o* [*s/o
(subject/object) a symbol intuited by Bodvar Skutvik, to describe
intellectual patterns. Intellectually, I am not a level unto myself, and I
feel incomplete. DQ and SQ are separate.] are above social patterns, a sense
of order. Socal patterns, a sense of order, are above the purpose of
organic patterns. Organic patterns with purpose are above the gravity of
inorganic patterns.
It is immoral to place inorganic gravity patterns above organic patterns of
purpose. Farmers intervening to help plants flourish is moral. (The next
earthquake I feel won't change my mind?) It is immoral to place organic
patterns of purpose above social patterns of order. Laws against child
molestation are moral. (When next I'm driving on a race track, I will be
sure to pass on the left?) It is immoral to place social patterns of order
above intellectual patterns of incompleteness, s/o. Teachers (scientists)
are moral. (Chaos rules?) The mystical sense of morality is evolving.
Philosophers (politicians) are moral.
Are farmers more moral than police, than teachers, than philosophers?
