    Hello everyone,
The point i wished to explore regarding Haptics is directly related to
    Quality.
More specifically, SQ-SQ tension as coherence when patterns 'feel good.'
Human senses evolve in response to DQ, because DQ uses coherent states between
patterns to advance, so Haptics is a direct way of experiencing DQ through SQ-SQ
    tension.

One important thing to note here is the morality of Haptics. We are now in a
position to state clearly why it is a high Quality violin, for example, is
better than a low Quality violin, and that the higher Quality violin is more
    moral.
SOM dominated cultures may find this mode of description unsettling, but it
    makes more sense.
Not only this, but a high Quality violin (or painting or rhetoric or
motorcycle maintenance) may be played more morally by a master than a student,
although seemingly ironic, the student is open to DQ as a beginner every bit as much
as the master - but the master has generated a patterned coherence which the
student may enter into and be influenced by while not loosing sight of DQ. For
DQ and coherence are very similar, if not the same when coherence is extreme.

I feel coherence explains the relationship between master and student without
contradicting the importance of 'beginners mind.'

I keep thinking of the master archer in Zen in the art of archery and what he
describes as 'it.' Robert Pirsig states that DQ is 'it.' I think this fits
very well with the MOQ description of Haptic experiences.

If we explore Haptics in MOQ terms, there is no reason why we cannot explore
Social and Intellectual analogues of the same tensioned states. So, we move
from a most familiar example of coherence to areas which have been obscured by
SOM, that cannot deal adequately with Social patterns in particular, and
presents obstacles to understanding at the Intellectual level.

I hope this is found to be of some value?
    All the best,
    Mark
