JONATHON
A year and a half later we are still having essentially the same
argument.
JC
Well I'm at least glad that I haven't missed anything.
JONATHON
I still maintain that Q "occurs" (exists), and can be observed and
described. To call the metaphysical entity by "X" or any other meaningless
name is to say that it totally lacks any characteristic "qualities" (Ha!),
JC
Jonathon, you hit my nail on the head there with your HA. X is valuable to
SOMe precisely because it is valueless. Why is that an advantage?
Well its certainly an advantage to the ego, which does not like to be
thwarted or constrained by any valuation outside of the encapsulated self.
Thus the refutation of absolute value.
I was having a hard time understanding the fascination with X, but its
starting to come clear to me.
