MD definition of information

In trying to think of a definition of information I remembered this article i
had read that reported two types of knowledge -map-like and story-like. So I
think information is like quality but it seems most people think of the
map-like kind and forget about the story-like type. I guess some people may
debate whether you have to distinguish these two but it makes you wonder
whether Pirsig could have explained MOQ without a story. I have read his
articles but I don't think they don't capture MOQ the same way.
