as far as i can tell pirsig is referring to the intellectual level of
experience that is characterised by the subject/object split. or is there a
subject/object split at the inorganic, biological and social level aswell?

yes i understand that.

in undivided experience there is no 'you', just the experience. eg aesthetic
or drug induced experience.

 i suggest some terminology clarification at the very least
