Dear Lawry,
I read your opinions. Not just about you but in more of the opinions in this case I can see the influences of advertisements which are not usually true.I think all just analize the historical reasons of this war and not the stuations which people of palestine(and Israel) are in .Some problems in the world can not be solved by theoretical methods.Sometimes we need to open our eyes and see the big fact without any explanation.for instance there was said sth about Iran's opinion about the nuclear war .who does not know that the greatest nuclear centers are in US and Iran can not offer to provide them(in the smallest scale)? If Iran was able to provide them they would use them in 8- year war infront of Iraq and its helpers.
About Palestinians' texbooks and that speech, I just can tell that it is not one of the educations of them and none of the main texbooks of Islam contains this idea.but I am not certain about the Arabs' national ideas.Of course the defense infront of attack is one of the most important duty in every religion and ideology. And in this situation I think they are defending their life and their land.More of the MOQ members said their suiciding is an irrational action ,I think so but rationality can be followed by who is in a rational situation .What can they do when they dont have even a shirt to put on and defend(in a rational way)?
I like some of your ideas ,they are accurate and noble, but I think all of us are discussing with closed eyes.
Best wishes, Nargess.

So he was not referring to the Qur'an. I understand that he took his Test Questions seriously, so I attempted to review them in an email posted last night. I would be interested in your opinion about them. Please do not worry about your English: I only wish that I spoke your mother language as well as you do English. Lawrence DeBivort <debivort@umd5.umd.edu> wrote: Greetings, Nargess, Rest assured: in none of its parts does the Quran state or imply that 'other religious groups are evil and must be killed'. This is just another of Roger's flights of fancy when it comes to Islam, the Middle East, and Palestinians and Israelis. My guess is that he was amusing himself through provocation, because a couple of days later, he actually posted something on a Palestinian/Israeli solution that was fairly thoughtful, incongruent with his 'test questions', and offered a step in the right direction. Isn't there something in the Quran about being patient and teaching the ignorant? Lawry -----Original Message-----

dear Rog ,
Please tell me where of the muslims' texbook it was said that "an other religious groups are evil and they must be killed"?
It is very important because I have read Holy Qoran and I am certain that it was not saidthere. Please determine the place of it and if you have not read that ,please search and be certain about the truth.

Rod, Gav, Rasheed and others are dismissing views that contradict their own
as products of brainwashing, biased media, Orwellian distortion, etc. At
first I thought they were just adopting one of David's little social-level,
rhetorical tricks of winning the argument by undermining their opponents'
credibility. But on further thought, how can I be sure that they aren't
right? I am no Middle East expert. Perhaps I am making a decision based upon
incorrect and biased facts. So, to test this, I thought I should lay out the
supposed facts that I am acting upon, giving them a chance to let me know
where they disagree.
To accomplish this, I wrote up a little test that shows what I believe to be
the case. I ask questions like in high school and then offer a believed
correct and an incorrect answer. In every case, the ! ! answer in **'s is the
one I BELIEVE is true. If I am wrong, please help me see where.
