Hi Rudy, welcome,
first a remark for David(hope you are not selective post reader and chose to
delete this one), your ''Mystical experience''and static.. post of december
8 was impressive, one of the best things I read in the last few months, was
I the only one to notice?
Rudy,
lots of questions there, hope you do not mind if I gather a few and
elaborate on SOM and MOQ a bit,
you wrote:
How would you propose to teach the world to
think in MOQ terms and abandon SOM?
We dot really need to abandon SOM in a way that one day we say; ''From now
on I will think in MOQ terms and will not make use of SOM anymore.''
We need SOM to communicate, we need SOM to learn about the world, SOM is the
way we aquire knowledge in the first place. It is simmilar to childhood and
maturity, we cannot really abandon childhood but we can overcome our
childish behaviour and intentions by reflecting on the world and the human
kind in general and the relation between these two specifically.
Wouldn't you have to change the nature of education from kindegarten to
grad school? Wouldn't every textbook need to be
translated and reprinted? Wouldn't our day-to-day
language have to change? Wouldn't our governments and
courts need to translate all of their laws and
regulations and proclamations and decisions into MOQ
language?
No, see above
Wouldn't every intellectual and analytical
field, from psychology to biology to physics to
history to law to theology to political science to
medicine to engineering to architecture etc. have to
change its modulus operandi?
Intellect is not imposed to a society, it goes it's own way, we have no
influence of that accept for us taking part in intellectual pursuits in the
various mentioned fields. If the MOQ is correct, in the future there will be
new and better books, theories and so on. Sometimes I hear people say, well
if I could do my life all over again would do that and I wouldn't do that
bladiebladibla, truth is, if you could do your life all over again you would
make exactly the same decisions..catch my drift? We cannot start all over
again, we need no find a way to integrate and harmonize all knowledge
gathered so far.
Wouldn't newspaper
reporters have to learn MOQ-speak?
Speaking implies language, todays structure of language is SOM
based(subject/predicate), I personally do not see an escape in language or
changing language.
Aren't we talking
about something enormous here, something
revolutionary, something that would cause tremendous
disruptions while people get used to the new regime?
How would it all be done? Over how many years? Where
would it start? Who would guide it? What would be the
sanctions for non-cooperation? How would you justify
the costs and disruptions to the 99% of us who aren't
saavy about metaphysics?
The MOQ is not totalitarian regime, it is the inevitable, it is the path of
the TAO the path to liberty and freedom and the good thing is, we can't get
lost. Degeneracy will hold us back often, individuality will slow us down,
but we cannot go back, only forward. People like Pirsig point to the moon,
so does Wilber imo, people like us, and other people on the same path in the
present and the future have been and will be pointing to the same moon, sit
back and enjoy the ride.
greetings davor
