All,
>Were I into tattoos, on the back of my left hand I would inscribe "Some
>things are better than others" and on the back of my right hand "I may not
>know much, but I know what I like." Then I'd be reminded as I traverse
>through life that what I've been taught is real ain't necessarily so.
If I could interject a (naive, I'm thinking) question:
Would changing the sentence to "some things are more moral than others"
have any interpretative effect on Pirsig's meaning?
And, apart from immorality arising from lower-levels devouring
higher-levels, can the MOQ say anything about which (of several things) is
"more moral"?
(This may be rephrasing what has been talked about, if so I apologize, I'm
somewhat overwhelmed this summer with work and am having a hard time
keeping up with the posts :-))
In brief, can the MOQ (or *should* the MOQ) lay any claim to whether
Vivaldi is "better" or "more moral" than Marilyn Manson?
