I would say that its important for Pirsig or anyone else who believes the MoQ. All metaphysics are grounded in unprovible assumption. If you don't accept the assumption, you can't honestly accept the metaphysics. It's hard for me to understand what hold the MoQ can have for you if the literal truth of it's assumptions are unimportant to you. I guess we will leave it at that.
