I'm with Joe. Truth is the name of an object not "out there" but "in here,"
an aesthetic quality registered like an instinct, a palpable feeling of right
or wrong, true or false. It is pre-conceptual and thus pre-sentence.

An excellent insight, Matt. Like most "truths," it's obvious now that
you've revealed it. This may be "the question" underlying our differing
