Oh brother. I direct you to my earlier post re the need for
condescension.
Besides, I was not thinking of any of our discussions in re to my
comments above. What you and I and Scott and Ian have been talking
about are ideas for which there are no indisputable facts and
conclusive arguments. That's why the debate.
My comments above were in re to discussions, usually political or
scientific, where historical and scientific facts were verifiable by
anyone willing to take the time to do so. Where said facts were
nevertheless ignored or denied in order to cling to a specific
agenda. Where sound arguments built upon those facts were dismissed
without any attempt at logical analysis. Where clearly bad reasoning
was exposed as such, and yet such reasoning was continued on in later
posts. These are not the actions of someone who is interested in
truth.
