Scott- I see no justification on Pirsig's part for calling the basis for
choice
among possible conventions "preintellectual". Better, I think, to call it
Creative Intellect, or something along those lines.
DM- I suspect the answer to this is what is available to choose from,
actually the choice is pretty limitless, it overflows with potentiality,
there is an opening up of possibility by DQ that precedes intellect's
creation of all SQ.
