    I think as Paul's response indicated, we're really just stmbling over the
    semantics of the word "thing".

    To me a "thing" is quite literally any thing of any kind in any real,
    imagined or unimagined context.
    Everything is a thing to me, by natural language dictionary usage of the
    word.
    I just have many types of thing in my world.

    To others they reserve special meaning for the word.

    As long as we're agreeing on substance I personally don't see such points
    worth arguing about.
