[Platt] The point I've been trying to make which Arlo ignores has to do with
Pirsig's explanation of why American suffers from a moral degeneration,
explicated by Ham's post of 2/27 and exemplified this week by a judge's
decision to let a helpless person starve to death.

    Hi Platt and all,

As a singer in choir I more appreciate Arlo's point that if someone makes
efforts in music, it is probably O.K. America suffers from a moral
degeneration from an abundance of 'teach others sense' 'put them on the
right road' from a psychic-organic need in people. There is a disconnect
between killing people in war to teach them freedom, and overriding a state
judge's decision to starve a person to death after careful deliberation.

    Joe
