Hi all,
As I don't expect a public reply to my request for attributed quotes,
please allow me to opine.
My question to Erin was sort of tongue-in-cheek, as one who knows my
writing style and tone might expect. It's pretty clear to me that
she is referring to things I've said, not to stuff from the distant
past. That's why I asked for quotes. I doubt she'll provide them,
but if she does I'll have some fun cleaning her clock.
Mark,
I sent this yesterday but for some reason it never showed up on the site. I am pasting it
here for you. It was not directed to you or referring to things you
have said (why this is clear that is referring to you I have NO idea) I know you want to
lump me into the conservative group and thus not get to know me as an
individual but instead just generically apply stupid littel political stereotypes .....but last
presidential election i voted democratic and the one before that
I voted for Nader. So why don't you stick that up your arrogant, presumptuous, you
know what.
When I first joined this site I used to go off on Platt (e.g. talking about the stupidity of
Bush) . Since then Platt and others have influenced my thinking
about politics but in a way that I actually agree with him about politics :-) It is more that
I have grown respect for how he handles himself with such
arrogant people as yourself.

what I sent yesterday:
Ok I lost access to the archives while looking for your requested quotes. There have
many more quotes than the ones I have below.
First to clarify they are not direct "Get out" statements but comments which to me gives
out the same message (e.g., why are you here...go to so and so site,
etc.).
The most recent one was by Bo saying somethign about Scott being oblivious this is a
moq site?/ Pirsig? site or something like that. Scott also got it from
Marsha with repeated comments that to me said something like "go get your own site if
you are going to express your ideas...this site is for Pirsig's ideas"
MARSHA: Please do let me know if you ever get a website and elist of your own. I'd love
to visit, and us it as a workspace to develop my theory of the
emotional life cycle of the barfly.
ANT also recently sets himself as manager of the site/fair and others as trying to "close"
the site or 'change the site' and who knows what the intent of the
Freak is
ANT : I'm only against those who would wish to close it, those who would operate it as
“Professor Rorty’s School of Leadership & Post-modernism” and, of
course, the occasional Freak.
ANT: POSSIBLY he is sincere in his sentiment to “make the MOQ better” but
unfortunately his Rortyan project will transform it into the “Philosophy of Of”
People are also scolded if they bring in terminology that Pirsig didn't use himself..
Actually I think there have been direct statements of telling somebody to leave for
dissenting but don't feel like pouring through the archives to confirm that
but regardless these snide comments about getting your own site or go to another
philosopher's site/ group site seem to me be the same gist.
I am here to hear our ideas of Quality too not just our ideas of Pirsig's ideas of Quality.
