I think this is interesting when you compare this
conversation with the small business/Walmart
conversation.
See encouraging people to get out of a Walmart working
environment DOES seem like a message for people to
seek their own power. That is seeking more meaningful
work can be seen about power an authentic type of
power.
Same thing about whether writing a book is done for
selfish reasons or the betterment of society...it
doesn't have to be an either/or thing. The process of
creating art can be done for personal pleasure and for
the betterment of others.
When I think you are say they are in it for their
power it is not really a useful way of looking at
things for me.....because so are Independents. I
think a better way to look at it is how to seek
authentic power and I think that can be found in
conservatives, liberals, and independents.
Like there was another comment by someone that the
lilberals and conservatives are all talk, talk,
talk.....same thing can be said about
Independents...they can be seen as just all talk, kind
of like a back seat driver.
