Hi Squonk, all,
Squonk in his review
>Is Quality real?
Is anyone up for a straight forward discussion of Quality along this line?
A re-introduction to the basics?
Is Quality real? I recall someone posting Quality=Reality a while back,
does "equals" mean "is"? Is Reality qual? How are they morality, which was
the third equality in that triangle, Reality=Morality=Quality?
I can understand morality and reality pretty well, I think, but the
"quality" angle eludes me. How are the three words different, if they are
all equal?
When I fit it into my "Expectation" framework, I see Quality as meeting the
expectation, or the energy required to meet the expectation. If there isn't
much quality, something can't do what it is expected to, and is not moral.
Low quality=Unmet expectations=immoral, but these are all still real, as
long as there is any quality at all.
But that's me trying to fit Quality into my 'everything is expectation'
thesis. Squonk, Matt EE, and all, I'd be interested, if I could tear you
away from this discussion, in your thoughts...
Johnny
