Hi Phyllis and all
Phyllis
"Her taste was perfect , so her morals did'nt matter"
My interpretation of this in the light of MOQ , is that this is a version of arete . A development of character that enables one to act in ways that maximize dynamic quality gains while minimizing degenerative experiments . It includes the harmonization of all dynamic gains and static patterns . This means that intellectual development is not necessary to make those gains ; ie a morality based on reasoned argument is not required to be moral , but an instinctual in sorting experience is .

The quote says it all , and equally true would be :
"His morals were perfect , so his taste did'nt matter ."
Taste is taken from the subconcious , including the collective subconcious , where all that is known is available . Therefore if you have perfect confidence in your instincts you will always be right . The danger lying in fear and doubt .
Similarly if you base your decisions on reasoned or concious argument , if you have perfect information you will again always be right , the danger being in incomplete information .
So the being with perfect instincts will come to same conclusions as the being with perfect information , and the perfect modernist agrees with the perfect post-modernist .
