Hi Platt, David
Hope you don't mind me butting in, social-intellectual
discussions are of real interest to me at the moment.

Yes, but 'collectivism' is an intellectual pattern of
value that supports social patterns of value in
general.
In fact, Pirsig describes the

The League of Nations, and any other global
organisation, is still a social pattern of value.
The ideas that direct it are intellectual patterns of
value which will be for or against other social and
intellectual POV. In other words, global is not the
same as intellectual and is not better than other
organisations by default. A community that supports
high quality ideas is better than a global
organisation that pushes low quality ideas.

I think the MOQ explains and supports Platt's
reaction.
> Wilber's "auto-immune disease"
Can you describe this further? At first glance, it
seems to say that the process of evolution is a
disease.
cheers
Paul
