All,
Found an interesting article on the net about how our left/right brain
operate. This study was pioneered by Tim Galleway in the early 70's( i
remember reading about it in ReadersDigest a long time ago). Take a look at
http://www.marceline.k12.mo.us/~portfolio/1997/~Colbert/brain.html
To summarize, the paper indicates that while the left brain is primarily
responsible for controlled learning, memory and making sense about logical
info around us,the much underrated right brain has awesome programs for
learning, but it doenst remember in words, it remembers in
feelings,intuitons.
Tim Galleway suggests that by shutting of the left brain and giving the
right brain a free reign, people can perform at thier peak level. Tennis
players playing in their comfort Zone,Basket-ball players having hot-hands,
the feeling when people feel lost in doing some activity without time and in
harmony...are just some of the activities that are done when the right
hemisphere takes charge ( I guess Mark's Edge of Chaos talks a lot about
these phenomenons)
I remember J krishnamurthy saying something about "Observing without the
observer" in his "Awakening of Intelligence" awakens Intelligence,I guess in
Tim's language that would translate to"Observing only through the right
brain".In MOQ terminology isnt it like the left brain is what makes the
static patterns?, or rather it contains these static patterns And the Right
brain the source of Dynamic quality ?? Any thoughts on this ?
thanks
