    Greetings,

Thanks for the words of encouragement.  I have been silent for most of my life, but lately I feel compelled to speak.

I have read Noam Chomsky, heard a few lectures, and seen some interviews.  I happen to agree with his point-of-view.  But if you don't have a leaning in his direction, his arguments can be suffocating.  His arguments are tight, and leave little room to breathe.

I will read the McWatt essay.  Thanks for the suggestion.

I often wonder if I should turn away from politics.  I watch mostly C-SPAN & C-SPAN2.  I watch the PBS News Hour, BBC and read other stuff.  But, I'm not sure a well-informed citizen even makes a wit of difference, and maybe just adds negative energy.  Here I have lots of questions.

I won't say more.  Except to say thanks.

    MarshaV
