I don't think corporations are all bad, or all good. But, the Superbowl
half-time show was created by a corporation. Many of the musical "artists"
of the present time are created by corporations. They are sexual symbols
created to sell product. People have stopped buying CDs, and the music
industry is suffering.
In the realm of classical music, I like Wagner, Beethoven, Mozart, Bach,
Granados, Albeniz, Chopin, Verdi, and many others. Music is an important
part of my life.
May I ask what your relationship is to corporations. Do you have
first-hand corporate experience? Upper management, or peon? I've worked
in IS, and found it an extremely frustrating place. The computer was
great. Management was suffocating. I'm glad to be painting
instead. Even the high salaries didn't make it a place of high value. It
certainly wasn't a place to be creative. I worked in good companies,
too. Maybe being in upper management was more inspiring.
