    Hi Gav

Yes we are all of the human race, except for some Neanderthals bumbling
around here and there. Seriously, from what I understand of the research
being done on the human genome, there was what's termed an evolutionary
"bottleneck" some 50.000 to 75.000 years ago. Those are our ancestors.

I happen to be interested in geneology and with a little luck I've been able
to trace my maternal grandmother's side of the family back to the 1600's. It
boggles my mind to see what an intricate pattern just that side of the
family forms in 400 years. I cannot begin to imagine how complex the family
tree would be if I could trace it back 50.000 years but it would be
    incredible I'm sure.

    Thank you for your comments.

    Dan
