And Fox is???
I've always found it interesting that the ones who decry "bias" in "liberal"
sources the loudest are also the most adamant in refusing to see "bias" in
"conservative" channels. Thus when a "liberal" source reports that the link
between AQ and Saddam was exaggerated, it is jumped upon as "liberal" lies. But
should Fox run a report saying the link was full and proven, it is taken as the
Truth!
It ,of course, comes down to the, err... dichotomy; If you are a conservative
you must be telling the truth, if you are a liberal you must be lying. Just
further proof that we hear only what we want to hear, and have a simple
heuristic for dismissing anything that challenges that worldview.
Just for the record, I do not fault Fox for right-wing bias per se. I fault them
for the misleading and deceitful slogan "Fair and Balanced". I also have
concerns over whether any single reporter can ever be "objective", which is why
I believe Mark's suggestion to seek out multiple sources and demand references
to be prudent and wise.
