Here you are comparing "what Pirsig is putting across" to what you "have
discovered or been taught". We know what Pirsig is putting across from his
books and letters, but you have not given us a clear understanding of your
side of this comparison. How could one approach addressing your "severe
tension" without a clear explanation of what you mean by "discovered or
been taught". What are you comparing?
