I am not saying the others are justified in what they do, and heaven

Moving society back to the stone age. I think that even the stone age had
culture music and dance. They are nuts, no doubt about that.
When Beirut was the tourist hot spot in the early 70's, we were appalled
at the tourists form Saudi and the gulf states, especially the women who
were clad in the chadors. To us it was surreal, which cave did they crawl
out of was our questions as kids. Their fundamentalism will collapse.
Progress cannot flourish under that kind of mentality. That's why there
are a lot of immigrants from that region all over the world. Because they
want to LIVE.
What is happening today, is not new. It has been 75 years in the making.
Meanwhile, their distant countrymen, brethren and relatives have a cause
or two that have some merits to look at and solve them in other ways.
when they fought off the Soviets in Afghanistan, the whole of the NATO
alliance supported them. Right?
So how can they go from being the Hero Mujahedeen fighting off occupiers,
to " enemy non combatant". Oh yeah I forgot, because of the technicality
that they are not wearing a uniform.
They were on the Doctor's team then, eliminating a Malady called the
occupation of Afghanistan. Now they are practicing Medicine without a
licence. It's that hypocrisy that I detest.
But all throughout history, all the saboteurs ( from the French sabot, to
throw your boot into the geared machinery to break it) , if they live
long enough, they will get their caused recognized and some compromise is
found.
And remember, Just like worker termites who can built huge termite hills
without a leader, a blueprint or supervision. They metastasize.
Unlike a charging animal that can be stopped by a gate, a fence, a door
or a gun, these people are like bees, ants and even cancer. Those people
are a lower life form, ( in terms of their operation and structure) that
needs a different strategy to stop, PREVENT, and sometimes kill. And as
in chemotherapy, sometimes a part of you has to die in order to kill it.
