Paul:
Does "degenerate dynamic" mean the same thing as "static"?
Hi Paul and all,
I want to emphasize mystical experience. "Static" as in static quality is a word that looks two ways. I want to point to the dynamic element. "Degenerate dynamic", then, is a way to talk to those who see "mystical" as a bad word..
IMO the *fundamental* division occurred between Plato and Aristotle. Again IMO floods, earthquakes, volcanoes, the movement of heavenly bodies, nuclear weapons, majestic mountains have all played a part in cultural evolution.
